~Power of the Crystal~Transformation

I was hugely inspired by the movie, Atlantis: The Lost Empire. This however has no relation to it, or based on it. The only thing that rings true is that the crystal is truly significant like in the movie. The power it has on Kida, is very well relative to the same power it has on my characters. This is Raveila, who was born in royalty but went into hiding with her mother when she was only a toddler. They ended up leaving the night of the royal ball.

Young Raveila wandered off on her own looking for adventure of some sort. Once she had gotten down the hallway she saw a mysterious figure cloaked in darkness. Before she had a chance to look, her aunt ran by and picked her up then started running for dear life. Raveila could sense the urgency in her aunt's tone of voice, but was so little to truly understand things. Raveila saw her mother appear shortly in front of them standing at one of the corridors they raced to with a look of horror on her face.
Raveila had clutched onto her aunt's crystal necklace, which all of a sudden lit up. Her aunt's eyes had turned without no pupil a light shade of orange. Her skin lighted to as white as snow, and her dark red hair had lightened to that same shade of orange. Raveila was handed over to her mother, who wore the same necklace but was not lit. Raveila saw a sinister dark light emitting from the figure in the shadows.
At a instant, they were on the run. That was the last time she saw her aunt.

This scene is where Raveila realizes at her coming of age she possessed the same power as her aunt once had.
